Healthy Baby Habits

Help Your Baby Dominate Development

Healthy Baby Habits

This book was written after many years of interactions with parents and families while evaluating developmental needs of infants and children. I have compiled what I feel are healthy baby habits every baby should experience consistently in the first year of life. These are just that: habits. Embedding them in your daily routines will start to feel natural, and you will feel empowered that you are giving your baby what she needs. Habits take time to create, but these habits are going to help your baby start with a foundation to set her up for optimal development.

This book is laid out to give parents 12 Healthy Baby Habits to start implementing right away. Each habit gives the "why" it is important in development and "why" you should care. The next section, Baby Extras, focuses on other areas of development to be aware of as your baby grows and provides prevention methods for common problems that are more prevalent with infants. The following section, Let's Play provides fun ways to engage with your baby. These sections are broken down into 3-month increments. A compilation of simple ideas to choose from with minimal set up and supplies is provided.

Donate a Book!

Not in need of a book for yourself? How about donating a book to a family who could use this resource? I have the pleasure of meeting new, loving families every week while performing evaluations for Early Intervention Programming. It is a great opportunity to discuss the successes, struggles, and concerns family have with their baby’s developmental journey. This book is a handy supplement to these engaging conversations. I would love to leave behind Healthy Baby Habits; giving a family a way to feel empowered as they help their baby grow. Support this cause by donating! Thank you!
